In a future where the human race is at war with aliens, the World Government takes to breeding and training military geniuses. Among the many children bred to ensure the survival of the human race, Ender Wiggin was seen as the most promising. Therefore, the World Government monitored him closely for several years. As a result, the government easily discovered that Ender was a combination of his compassionate sister and his ruthless brother. After many years, the government finally removed Ender's monitor as a test.
Inciting Incident:
~ After Ender had his monitor removed, a bully named Stilson decided to gather a group of boys and physically harm Ender. Therefore, Stilson's gang surrounded Ender in a school hallway. However, Ender quickly shattered their attempts by knocking Stilson to the ground. Ender had been victorious in one fight, but he knew he had to be victorious in all future fights as well. Knowing this, Ender repeatedly struck Stilson in the stomach.
Rising Action:
~ After the government learned why Ender had continuously beaten Stilson, Ender was recruited into the I.F.'s Battle School.
~ Upon his arrival to Battle School, Ender discovered that the teachers were intentionally isolating him from the rest of his group. He also learned that all of his training would be in the form of both physical and digital games. The physical games were played in the battle room, but the digital games were played on personal computers or in the game room.
~ Ender hated how he was being isolated from the rest of his group, so he decided that he was going to break his isolation. Therefore, he began to gather a small group of friends, for he planned to combine his group with the class bully's group. Ender 's plan quickly succeeded, so his isolation was broken.
~ As a result, Colonel Graff transferred Ender into Salamander Army, for he believed that isolation would allow Ender to improve intellectually. However, Salamander Army's commander did not allow Ender to participate in training or battles, so Ender decided to train with his old classmates. As a result, Ender quickly climbed the ranks. Therefore, his commander, a boy named Bonzo, decided to trade him into Rat Army.
~ While he was in Rat Army, Ender was allowed to participate in practices and battles. Because his commander allowed him to participate, Ender quickly mastered the physical half of his training.
~ Meanwhile, Peter, Ender's brother, plotted to use political writing to take control of the Earth. Therefore, Peter decided to beg Valentine, his persuasive sister, to help him achieve world domination. Valentine agreed to help Peter, so the siblings began to post their writing on the internet.
~ After seeing how Ender had progressed, Colonel Graff gave Ender an army. However, Colonel Graff deliberately gave Ender an army full of young and inexperienced soldiers. Still, Ender managed to mold his inept Army into a highly skilled group of soldiers.
~ As a result, Ender defeated every army that he faced. However, his victories didn't come without a price, for Bonzo, one of Ender's old commanders, became exceedingly jealous.
~ It was not long before Bonzo and several other boys planned to kill Ender. Colonel Graff quickly learned about Bonzo's plan, but he decided that Ender needed to learn how to cope with situations alone. Ender attempted to evade his enemy, but Bonzo confronted him while he was in the showers.
~ Bonzo attempted to kill Ender, but Ender easily incapacitated him. Soon afterward, Ender was promoted into Command School, so he was sent back to Earth where he could board a starship. However, after Ender returned to Earth, he refused to attend Command School.
~ As a result, Colonel Graff asked Valentine, the only sibling that Ender had ever loved, to convince Ender to return to school. Valentine managed to convince Ender to resume his education, so Ender and Colonel Graff began the long journey to the school.
~ As soon as Ender arrived at Command School, he began training to become a commander. Most of his training took place in a simulator, but some of his training was not digital. Ender used the simulator against fake alien armadas daily, for it was part of his training.
Climax:
~ After months of training in the simulator, Ender took his final Exam. He quickly annihilated the simulated enemy's species and discovered that he had, in reality, just destroyed the enemy that the human race had spent so long fearing. After Ender realized what he had been manipulated into doing, he was absolutely devastated.
Falling Action:
~ Soon afterward, the World Government began to collapse, for the world's countries no longer had a common threat. However, Peter proposed a treaty within his influential writings, for he wanted to keep the world's countries united. As a result, Peter gained control over most of the World Government. This allowed him to easily pass his intergalactic colonization proposal.
~ Ender realized that the government did not intend to take him back to Earth, so he remained at the Command School. Before Long, the Command School, which was on another planet, was turned into a colonization hub.
~ Valentine, Ender's sister, planned to leave with the first group of colonists, for she wanted to escape from Peter's dark influence. After Valentine verified that Ender could never return to Earth, Ender decided to leave with the colonists.
~ The colonists arrived at their new home planet and the colony flourished. Ender lived in the colony for several years before he discovered something that shocked him. He discovered that the Bugger's had been attempting to communicate with him, but he had destroyed them before they could get their message through. Ender also discovered a cocoon containing a queen Bugger, for the Bugger's had left it there in an attempt to save their species.
Resolution:
~ Ender, who felt monstrous, decided to scour the universe for a place where the Bugger cocoon could hatch and multiply. Throughout his journey, Ender spread the story of the dead Bugger species and finally found peace.

Text to World Connection:
One event in the book "Ender's Game," by Orson Scott Card, reminds me of an event that took place in our nation's history. In "Ender's Game," the human race began to colonize the many planets that the buggers had left behind. Similarly, the British began to colonize some of the many empty lands that North America was comprised of. However, the reason for colonization was different in both events. While the British colonized for profit, the human race colonized because of overpopulation. The events also differed on the scale of colonization, for in "Ender's Game" the colonization was on a much larger scale than that of the British colonization of North America. Even so, the similarity of colonizing a foreign land remains unaltered. In both "Ender's Game" and in our nation's past, the colonization of new lands resulted from taking the opportunity to expand an Empire.
